Hall Longmore, a subsidiary of Murray & Roberts, commenced with the manufacture of welded steel pipes in the early 1940's and has developed into becoming the leading manufacturer of its kind in South Africa. Today the company boasts two modern factories, one situated in Wadeville and the other in Duncanville (Vereeniging).

Its Vereeniging factory features the spiral mill operation with a capability of producing 508mm to 3 meter diameter pipe and wall thicknesses ranging from 4,5mm to 20mm and has American Petroleum accreditation. The Vereeniging factory is used mainly to treat pipes intended for water projects. Hall Longmore also offers a range of coating and linings for corrosion protection such as fibre glass reinforced bitumen wrapping, fusion bonded polyethylene (Sintakote), fusion bonded epoxy (FBE), cement mortar lining and a range of epoxy linings.
